Sharing and archiving reels

The graduated sharing levels for a reel, how revoking works, and how archiving keeps your timeline clean.

LoopsFrequently Asked Questions

Who can see a reel?

A reel is private to you by default. You can share a completed reel at graduated levels:

  • Your workspace: any member of your workspace can open it.
  • Anyone with the link: a person without an Astell account can open a read-only view through an unguessable link.

You can revoke either at any time. Revoking the link stops it working immediately: the next attempt to open it fails.

What a shared reel shows

The shared view only ever shows the stored reel, exactly as it was generated for you. It never exposes live loop data, your workspace, or any navigation. Sharing a reel does not give anyone access to your loops.

Archiving

Archiving a reel takes it out of your default timeline while keeping it openable and shareable. Use the show archived toggle in the Reels app to see archived reels again, and set whether the timeline shows them by default in Reels settings.
